How to roll network cables
If you need to roll your network cables around the house, and you do not really know what this process involves, you should read this article to find out everything you should know about cabling.
First of all, you should buy the supplies you will need for this job, which are CAT 5 cable (the length you need), RJ-45 plugs, and a crimper. A crimper is very important for this job because it allows you to add the plugs to the end of the cable, which is essential if you do not want to end up with a house full of too long wires.
After you make sure you have everything you need, you next have to snip off about one inch of jacket from the cable. You can easily do this by using the crimper, if this has a jacket stripper. When completing this step, you will find four pairs of cables which you should separate according to their color.
Next you will have to also separate the striped cables from the solid colored ones. You should obtain the exact sequence represented in the wiring label 568B. You can easily find this diagram by searching over the internet.
Now you have to cut off the edges of the cables so they will be clean and even. After you have done this, grab a plug and hold it with the latch facing down, and guide the wires into the plug. Use the crimper to fix them into place, and then repeat the process for the other end of the cable.
To sum up, we can say that network cabling is not a very difficult task, and that anyone can do this if they pay a little attention to instructions.
